Con obras de infraestructura y programas sociales, Curumaní es un municipio diferente
Curumaní es un municipio ubicado en el centro del Cesar que luego de pasar por un duro periodo de violencia, hoy, a punto de cumplir 60 años, florece con programas y obras sociales que el gobierno de Hermes Martínez Úrsula ha ejecutado para brindar mayor bienestar a la comunidad del área urbana y rural.
El mandatario dio a conocer que durante este periodo se han pavimentado 300 metros de vías gracias a un convenio ejecutado con las juntas de acción comunal de los distintos barrios del municipio y se han Rea habilitado 128 kilómetros de vías rurales, que han traído desarrollo a estos corregimientos y veredas.
Curumaní cuenta hoy con una línea de conducción que ha permitido mejorar el servicio de agua; asimismo, el corregimiento de Champán se ha beneficiado con la puesta en funcionamiento de un tanque elevado, favoreciendo a mil habitantes de esa zona rural.
La educación ha sido uno de los sectores en los que el gobierno municipal ha ejecutado importantes proyectos que hoy son realidad, es así como se ha logrado el mejoramiento de siete escuelas rurales gracias a un convenio con Findeter y el apoyo del gobierno nacional. Se ha impactado a estudiantes y docentes con la entrega de 5433 mobiliarios de todas las escuelas urbanas y rurales, garantizando un mejor entorno escolar para todos y se logró el cerramiento de la institución educativa Agustín Rangel del corregimiento de San Roque.
Promoción de la cultura y el turismo
Curumani tiene un alto potencial cultural y turístico y el gobierno de Hermes Martínez también ha dado prioridad a programas que promuevan este sector.
Curumanao ancestral es la estrategia que se ejecutó para apoyar a 30 artesanos víctimas del conflicto, quienes recibieron capacitación en la producción de productos elaborados a mano, que fueron expuestos en diversas ferias con el apoyo del gobierno departamental, “Este es un sello de este gobierno que nos permitió obtener un premio nacional. Los artesanos hoy han mejorado sus condiciones de vida ya que a través de esta estrategia se han podido crear sus marcas y comercializar mucho mejor sus productos”, dijo el alcalde en su informe.
También en materia cultural se sigue trabajando en la promoción y desarrollo del festival nacional folclórico y recreativo de juegos y rondas infantiles de ese municipio, con el objetivo de rescatar los juegos tradicionales y motivar a los niños a disfrutar de estas costumbres que con el tiempo se han venido perdiendo.
En el corregimiento de Champán se realiza anualmente en temporada de Semana Santa, la Feria del Dulce, una iniciativa que promueve el turismo y dinamiza el desarrollo económico de la zona rural, donde participan decenas de turistas que disfrutan de actividades culturales y deportivas en el marco de esta feria.
Programas sociales
Detrás del éxito de los programas sociales en Curumaní está la primera gestora, Maryluz Úrsula, quien viene trabajando de cerca con la comunidad, especialmente con los adultos mayores, población infantil y discapacitados.
120 adultos mayores de la zona urbana y 229 de la zona rural se han beneficiado con actividades deportivas, lúdicas y recreativas pero también con entrega de kit odontológicos, implantes dentales y servicios médicos y de salud visual. A la población discapacitada se le ha hecho entrega de ayudas técnicas como bastones sillas de ruedas para mejorar sus condiciones de vida y se ha hecho acompañamiento a la población infantil en diversas actividades sociales.
Que se está haciendo?
El alcalde no se detiene en lograr la meta de hacer de Curumani un municipio diferente. En la actualidad siguen las obras en la zona urbana y rural.
Se está construyendo la laguna de oxidación para mejorar el saneamiento básico en el corregimiento de San Roque, para beneficiar a siete mil habitantes con una inversión de $2100 millones gracias al apoyo de Corpocesar y la empresa de servicios públicos del municipio.
En materia de seguridad, se habilitaron 58 cámaras que fueron instaladas en 2018 que no estaban funcionando y para mejorar la reacción de la policía y contribuir con la seguridad en el municipio, se recibieron motocicletas por parte del gobierno departamental.
Infraestructura vial
Hermes Martínez se convirtió en el primer alcalde en pavimentar un kilómetro de vía en el corregimiento de San Roque y ya está listo el proyecto para pavimentar 3 kilómetros más.
“Iniciamos con la calle 8 de la mano de la gobernación del Cesar, y las calle 6 y 7 para que San Roque se desarrolle comercialmente para que sea un corregimiento próspero”, aseguró el mandatario.
Igualmente se reactivó la obra de la nueva vía para el corregimiento de El Mamey que en la actualidad tiene un avance del 69 por ciento y la construcción de la vía Champán-Línea férrea-Guaimaral.
En saneamiento básico se adelanta la optimización del acueducto municipal, tanque elevado en el corregimiento de San Sebastián y el acueducto de Sabana Grande, donde también se construirá la plaza central.
Una de las obras que será ejecutada por el alcalde Hermes Martínez es el nuevo parque del Sagrado Corazón ubicado en la troncal, donde se instalará un imponente monumento de nueve metros en un bonito entorno arquitectónico con el que seguramente se destacará como un importante atractivo turístico.
