Diez personas perdieron la vida en trágico accidente vial en carreteras de Santander
En horas de la madrugada, un bus intermunicipal de la empresa Brasilia se accidentó en el kilómetro 57 de la ruta Cúcuta – Valledupar, a la altura del municipio El Playón, Santander
El bus, en el que se transportaban 41 personas -varios de ellos venezolanos- se habría salido de la carretera y habría rodado por un barranco de varios metros de profundidad que se encuentra en el sector mencionado.
Al lugar llegó personal de la Defensa Civil, al menos 30 voluntarios, atendieron la emergencia que, según reportes preliminares, deja 10 víctimas fatales y más de 30 heridos.
Los heridos por el accidente se encuentran siendo atendidos en el Hospital José Domingo Sabio, de El Playón, y en el hospital de San Alberto.
El alcalde de El Playón, Wilmer Alexander Barrios, aseguró que múltiples ambulancias llegaron a la zona y se logró el traslado de casi todos los heridos para brindarles atención médica.
El bus salió desde la Terminal de Transportes de Cúcuta con destino a la ciudad de Valledupar y sobre las 5 de la mañana se presentó una posible falla mecánica y el conductor perdió el control, ocasionando la tragedia, según informó Policía de Santander.
Dugwin Villamizar, integrante de la Defensa Civil de Santander, informó que entre los pasajeros del bus había 4 menores de edad.
