Turbiedad por fuertes lluvias en la cuenca alta
Debido a lluvias en la cuenca alta del río Guatapuri, en la Planta de Tratamiento de Agua Potable las turbiedades superan 2000 NTU (Unidades Nefelomértricas de Turbiedad). Por lo cual, se hace necesario lavado de filtros, lo podría generar baja presión o falta del servicio en algunos sectores.
La empresa está trabajando en soluciones definitivas a mediano y largo plazo.
De acuerdo al agente especial, José Luis Palomino, se planea construir un reservorio de agua cruda que permita almacenar agua en períodos de baja turbiedad y utilizarla durante períodos de alta turbiedad, evitando así los cortes de suministro de agua potable.
Emdupar está adelantando gestiones ante la Alcaldía de Valledupar y la Gobernación del Cesar para lograr la cofinanciación de esta iniciativa con el Gobierno Nacional. La empresa busca asegurar los recursos necesarios para llevar a cabo este proyecto y garantizar la continuidad del servicio de agua para la comunidad.
Entre los beneficios de la construcción del reservorio de agua cruda permitirá garantizar la continuidad del servicio de agua potable en la ciudad; reducir los cortes de suministro de agua durante períodos de alta turbiedad, mejorar la calidad del servicio y la satisfacción de los usuarios.
“Emdupar está comprometida con la comunidad de Valledupar y trabaja para encontrar soluciones sostenibles y eficientes para garantizar la continuidad del servicio de agua”, reiteró.
